Our Story
Shine Medspa & Microblading was founded by Marika Grantham, who built it around a simple belief: self-care is not vanity — it’s an investment in the woman you already are.
Marika holds a Master’s in Social Work and spent 18 years in psychotherapeutic care — first running her own practice in the EU, where she became a certified trainer of Deep-Oriented Short-Term Psychotherapy and practiced Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapy (KIP), then a decade as clinical director of outpatient behavioral health programs in Massachusetts — before changing careers into aesthetics, ahead of ever completing independent US clinical licensure. Today, she’s also Shine’s most consistent client: she has personally undergone liposuction, Morpheus8, PDO thread lifts, medical weight loss, microblading, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and more, with Shine’s own doctors. Shine is led by board-certified physicians who treat clients themselves, in person — not an absentee medical director in name only.
Dr. Alla Guenin, MD — board-certified in Internal Medicine, providing dermal fillers, laser skin treatments, PDO thread lifts, PRP therapy, and medical hair-loss treatment.
Dr. Cela Doppelt — Shine’s Medical Director, board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, providing hormone replacement therapy, medical weight loss, liposuction and injectables.
Alongside them, Shine’s broader team includes licensed aestheticians, laser specialists, and injectors.
